Things to Do in Drake Landing
The nearby Sheep River Valley on view for Drake Landing residents has more than 85 kilometres of panoramic trails to enjoy.
Okotoks has more than 75 vibrant restaurants, eateries, cafes, pubs, and bars. And the lovely city centre has boutique shops and small businesses, selling everything from artwork to handmade gifts and accessories.
The Rotary Performing Arts Centre in downtown Okotoks is home to one of Alberta’s finest thespian groups, the Dewdney Players.
Sports fans can enjoy baseball (Okotoks Dawgs) and hockey (Okotoks Oilers and Okotoks Bisons) amongst many other exciting local sporting events. And for golf players, Okotoks has no fewer than three full-size golf courses and a fun mini-golf course.

- Houses of Worship. There’s a spiritual home for everyone in Drake Landing. The city of Okotoks has several different houses of worship, including Baptist, Pentecostal, Lutheran, Catholic, and Mormon churches.
Getting to Calgary
One of Drake Landing’s biggest draws is its close proximity to Calgary. By car, residents of Okotoks head north on the AB-2 and they’ll be in McKenzie Towne and southeast Calgary in about 15 minutes. The Calgary city centre can be reached in about 35-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
Okotoks also has a public bus service that connects the town with Calgary as part of On-It Regional Transit.
